The Journey of Elemental Explorer.

So, apparently, this is my first blog post.

“Out of all the things in this world, what is the thing that you want to do next?” One of my friends asked.

So I told him “Well I don’t know. I really like to have little conversations about the most random thoughts one could think of.”

The next thing I heard was “Why don’t you start a blog?!”

In this very first of my blogging experiment, I want to introduce myself to you.

My name is Arpit Jain.

I am a curious human being who is passionate about making people’s lives better through Software and Technology in general. I am a research-oriented person and I really look into small bits before making a decision (small or big doesn't matter). Whether I write a small piece of functionality or a complete tool to improve productivity or to improve the performance of some system, I always strive for code which works seamlessly and is built using agile methods.

I can design & I can follow other’s design. I am an architect. I can do it. I know it. I believe it. But it's not that simple. Right? I’ll make you believe it.

My entire Computer Science experience majorly deals with Software Development, Machine Learning, Data Science and UX Design. I know these fields are quite unrelated if you think about them. Further, I am not perfect at all of them, but, throughout my experience of working on the portfolio of diverse projects, I found out that how these domains could be combined in order to render amazing outcomes. I figured out that with the use of UX Research and Data Science/ML, Software Development could be evolved into something known as Cognitive Software development.

I find myself standing at the intersection of Design, Development, and Data. I have a knack for fabricating cognitive applications. I want to answer the questions of this world through Data. I love to toy with data and derive intuitive observations from it. I almost like to stitch a story altogether and generate wonderful visualizations out of it. Isn’t it beautiful to represent data in a form that the viewers can essentially get an idea from just a glance of it?

In the long run, I see myself working entirely in the domain of AI-based Visuals and Design understanding. Specifically the sub-field of AI that deals with Designing interfaces through machine intelligence. Though, as of now, there’s nothing as such being done in this field and it is quite unexplored. I want to introduce and coin this term called AI Designer. Basically what it means is- ‘Answering Design through Artificial Intelligence’. There are very few labs in the world which actually have begun exploring in this direction but I am sure it will flourish in the very near future.

The basic questions I am constantly thinking about are-

Can Artificial Intelligence learn to Design like Humans?

or

Can Human Creativity be replicated by AI?

and

How can most social problems around me be solved using intelligent technologies?

and this indeed

Where should I travel to next?

Most of the entries that I would be publishing as blogs I promise would be in a form of a story. I would describe my Blog as-

“Discussing Technical/Non-Technical stuff via simple stories accompanied by tinkering with thoughts.”

I’ll be explaining all the stuff in layman language so that its appreciated by the diversity of the audience.

Apart from the professional stuff, I love to travel, discover new places and click a hell lot of pictures. I like to meet new people and experience their cultures. You can find my travel journeys in the Instagram profile link at the bottom of this article. I like to listen to stories of people and draw inspirations from them to inculcate into my own work. It is really astonishing to see how just observing and listening precisely can help you make better decisions.

Hope you found me interesting.

More to come. Stay tuned.
